deterministic replay.
Running a past decision again with the same pinned inputs and getting the recorded result.
worked examplethe inputs, kept with the planIn March the team released a crew plan. In June an auditor asks why. The record shows the pinned data version, model version and solver settings, and the plan can be re-checked against them.
in plain language
Solvers with parallel search can take different paths on each run, and language models rarely answer the same way twice. A decision that an auditor, a regulator or a board may question needs a run that can be repeated. Deterministic replay requires versioned input data, a versioned model, a fixed solver version and settings that make the solve repeatable.
deterministic replay, on your own decision.
Bring one recurring decision. Your planners see the terms of this glossary applied to their own rules and data.
